VOTE WITH YOUR REMOTE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Throughout September and October the city's largest cable provider will be hosting a film and music video exhibition on El Paso On Demand Channel 831 for viewers residing in the El Paso region.
"Vote with Your Remote" is the first annual Time Warner Cable competition that aims to link local subscribers with a diverse collection of film and music video makers from our unique border community. Professionals and students that call El Paso their home are invited to submit their films and music videos before September 15th.
The four categories of this year's competition include: feature length films, documentary films, short films, and music videos. Submissions are welcome in both English and Spanish.
Viewers will vote by downloading films and music videos on the El Paso On Demand for free in their homes throughout September, October and November.
The submissions with the highest number of views will move on to become semifinalists on October 19, 2009. Those semifinalists will remain in the competition and viewers will be able to continue to vote.
Winners of each category will be announced on November 19th and will have their submissions available for TWC subscribers throughout the upcoming fall and spring. At the end of the competition, professional and student award winners will have their films and music videos screened publicly for local residents.
